Vice President's Greeting

David Plante
Vice President, CME New Brunswick
"Striving for an environment in which business can meet growth and profit objectives to create jobs for New Brunswick." Each year at our Manufacturers' Day event, we focus on this motto when we meet with the Premier and Cabinet. We continually stress the need for government to recognize the competitive realities businesses here face as they search the world for export markets for their goods and services.
It is also the motto we use to guide our activities on behalf of our New Brunswick Membership every day of the year. Members of the NB Division have, and continue to develop, leading edge products, technologies and services that serve customers the world over. Member firms are involved in all aspects of the economy. Sectors such as machinery & equipment, aerospace, e-business, telecommunications, pulp and paper, plastics, food and beverage, engineering and environmental services are being recognized for their innovative products and services. Our Members succeed because we work together to solve common problems and create a positive business environment in New Brunswick.
The New Brunswick Division has the additional benefit of providing management services to several other organizations. The New Brunswick Mining Association, the New Brunswick Seafood Processors Association, the Metalworking Association of New Brunswick and the Atlantic Resource Industries Association all call our offices home. This provides a unique opportuinty to compare notes and combine forces when addressing current issues.
Because New Brunswick manufacturers export over 45 % of their value added goods, manufacturers must understand the export process. We have strong connections with the Provincial Government, ACOA, Trade Team New Brunswick, Industry Canada, EDC, BDC, and all the New Brunswick export stakeholders, to assist our members in their journey through the export process. We also have ready access to our knowledgeable, dedicated trade group at the National and Corporate offices to help Members solve unique challenges in specific markets.
Our objective is to provide your company with timely business information and services that assist you in becoming more competitive in the local, regional and global market place. As Vice President of CME, New Brunswick Division, I look forward to working with all our member firms in building a stronger and more vibrant manufacturing and exporting community in New Brunswick. There are many ways we can help your company grow. Give me a call or send an email to find out how we can help you.
